Our History
In 1979, Dean Crain started Eastern Design Services, a contract engineering service placing engineers of all disciplines throughout the Southeast in the engineering, pulp and paper, manufacturing, and automation industries. In 2010, his daughter Molly Achille took the reins, expanding our services and continuing the decades-long relationship with the Southern Company.
In 2022, EDS joined forces with the founders of Propel HR, another Greenville, SC business of more than 25 years, and rebranded as PropelHires. Adding decades of experience in human resources and employment law brought another layer of expertise to the hiring process and opened up recruiting possibilities in a series of industries, such as advertising, automotive, manufacturing, human resources, payroll and many more.
